Get Six Pack Abs

It’s easy to get caught up in flashy commercials and marketing claims when striving to acquire that elusive six-pack. The bright films, professionally written sales copy, and celebrity testimonials make determining what works and what a fraud nearly impossible is.

With literally thousands of so-called gurus offering you the world, it’s a hard effort to translate the rubbish into something you can understand.

  1. Begin with the kitchen

Abs aren’t created in the gym; the actual work begins in the kitchen. You’ll need to apply the same discipline to your food as you do to your workouts.

To assist grow new muscle in your core, some experts recommend eating six small meals a day instead of the more traditional three, cutting out added carbohydrates and processed foods, and filling up on solid sources of protein.

Before you start any new diet, go to your doctor and/or a nutritionist to see what they think will be the most beneficial for you.

You should also drink plenty of water; if possible, drink up to a gallon every day.

  1. Increase the intensity of your cardio

It’s no surprise that Kourtney Kardashian’s trainer had her start incorporating cardio into every session in order for her to get in the best shape of her life (visible abs and all).

Why? Because aerobic exercise is an excellent fat-burning method. According to an analysis of 16 clinical experiments that looked at the link between the two, the more cardio you do, the more belly fat you’ll shed.

You can also decrease general body weight because there is no such thing as spot training a muscle group.

So, if you practice cardio on a regular basis as part of a fitness plan that also includes core and muscular training, you’ll get the benefits.

  1. Consume Healthy Fats for Six Pack Abs

Make sure you’re getting enough polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats in your diet, like raw nuts, nut butter, fish oils, and olive oils.

These sources of dietary fat will keep your insulin levels steady, which is crucial if you want to eliminate belly fat and display six-pack abs. I’m not suggesting that you devour the full bag of Planters Cashews.

Simply said, you should not be hesitant to incorporate healthy fats into your diet.

With all of the “low-fat diet” experts out there and all of the negative headlines about fats, it’s tempting to believe that cutting fats out of your diet is a smart idea.

However, it is a dietary nightmare, especially if you want to have a jaw-dropping physique.

By mixing lean protein with the right types and amounts of green leafy vegetables, excellent carbs, and fats, you can boost your metabolism and turn your body into a fat-burning machine that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The best part is that you won’t need a miraculous supplement or an ab gadget, and you won’t have to do hundreds of crunches.

  1. Stop performing tens of thousands of crunches

Crunches and sit-ups will never achieve the same level of complete fat loss and muscle gain as a compound, multi-joint, total body motions.

Personally, I believe it is utterly worthless to squander an hour of your time performing hundreds of ineffective crunches and sit-ups when that hour may be better spent practicing fat-burning exercises.

As a fitness model, I usually work my abs for 20 minutes twice or three times per week. There’s no better motivation to work on your abs than this! Here’s a list of excellent compound exercises to include in your training routine:

  • Barbell Squat
  • Lunges using Dumbbells
  • Deadlift with a Barbell
  • Military Press with a Seated Barbell
  • Dips – Chest Version
  • Close-Grip Barbell Bench Press
  • Pull-ups
  • Barbell Bench Press – Medium Grip
  • Push-ups

In a Nutshell

With the appropriate amount of exercise and a proper meal, you can achieve six-pack abs. But, do not overburden your body for quick results. Be patient and let your workout regime do its magic.
